I thought why not try it out. I did not have any big expectations but I had a good feeling about the game before I bought it and it turned out to be well spent money for me since I didn't pay much for it and I really enjoyed it.It's a casual and relaxing hidden-object/puzzle/detective game where you play as a woman who is investigating her husbands death in 1900th century Japan. The rest you can figure out yourself if you buy the game. The music was pretty nice. Would've been cool with some more stages in the game.I would like to see more of these kind of games from SQUARE ENIX. Imagine if they did a game like this one but in modern time. Let's say in modern day Tokyo for example or maybe even future Tokyo and that it was all made in beautiful anime, just like an anime show. If it was a point and click game I guess that would be even cooler... hell I'd even want both. Anyways time to stop dreaming.Im glad I bought and played this game. Not everyone will like this game but it's just a matter of personal taste. Was a nice little experience.. Odd game that exercises your attention to details. Some things are just ridiculously hidden - and the places they're at really don't make sense!. Is sadly nothing special compared to other HO games. That said, It's ok if you can get it cheap and you have nothing else to do.. I was on the fence with this game. I ended up giving it a "yes" since the storyline is nice and the graphics and sound were good. This is a Hidden Object game with a lot of hidden object scenes and a few other games (such as memory). For the price, it's worth the buy, especially if you enjoy Hidden Object games. I do like the mystery aspect of it, that made me hope I guessed correctly. However, I did find a few things with the game I didn't really like. For one, (and for me) I don't see a lot of replay value with this game beyond trying to get all the steam achievements. With all the scenes, none of the items within the scene are changed. The only thing that changes are the items you have to find (for the most part). After a bit, it doesn't take that long to get the general location for items in each scene. OK, I do like when game makers for this genre use a word that could be various items (such as bow, it could be a hairpiece, weapon, or a musical bow). However, there was a few times (given, not a lot) where the game would require an item found and there were a couple items it could be (in one instance, it asked for a hat and there was one in the painting and another one on a statue). Given, it's not a huge deal, but when trying not to make any mistakes, it makes it a bit hard. Also, there was one scene where it asked for 3 x brush, and one item was a broom (which for my crazy self, annoyed me a bit since I don't really consider a broom a brush). However, despite what I found annoying, I would still recommend this game for all the Hidden Object game fans out there.. This game is a fairly decent point and click/hidden object game IF you have a sense of humor and don't take it seriously. I mainly play these types of games because they're a little bit...well, stupid [in a good way]. This specific one is no exception and had me laughing really hard through the whole game because of how nonsensical the plot is. For example, the first thing that happens in the game is a couple cops rule a man's death a suicide and then leave the body on the floor of the widow's home. All the so-called "clues" are...just really contrived. It's not a realistic scenario by any stretch of the imagination...but the game is super enjoyable.Do not expect this game to be something it isn't, but don't sell it short either. As a veteran point-and-clicker, I breezed through this game, but it's a fun time-waster for casual gamers and is easy to complete in 2.5 hours to get the achievement. I beat it nearly 3 times so I could get the "find 1000 items" achievement and didn't feel annoyed at all, it wasn't tedious and you can click-through/skip dialogue, etc [so also be careful when you're clicking because you might accidentally skip dialogue you wanted to read].I don't know if it's worth the $5 Steam is asking because of the short completion time, but if you can catch it during a sale and you like this type of game, pick it up for sure!. I really love these kinds of games and this one combines so many that I love. You look for objects that are hidden in a range of difficulty at every location. There's also a variety of puzzle mini games that are also very clever. It's story isn't bad either, it makes for a great mystery. I suggest also trying to play it with friends, it can become a fun bonding activity/race to see who can find what. It's also an awsome feeling while refusing to use the hint button to finally find that object that you could swaer didn't load in. Plus then you can blame then for taking so long to find it! ;3. I can't believe this piece of♥♥♥♥♥♥has so many positive reviews.Season of Mystery is a really bad hidden-object game with mediocre graphics, laughable cutscenes with no voice acting, a few unoriginal puzzles and particularly bad HO scenes. I mean, the low resolution graphics are unclear, the objects don't respect realistic scale and are often virtually invisible. There are dozens of better HO games, like 9 Clues series or basically anything from Artifex Mundi. Stay away from this game. Square Enix, shame on you.. I found this game to be good and enjoyed playing it, the story i found was good and i did like the ending. However the hidden object scenes you do go back and forth, so you do repeat the hidden object scenes over and over again at times but then again you have to in order to follow the storyline. Overall, this is a good hidden object game.. I would not recommand this game because :- Puzzles are way too easy- Not a lot of places to visit (you have to go 10 times to the same scenes)- Graphisms are quite poor and hidden objects are not well integrated in the scenes.- The story is quite boring.- No timer, no points, no challenge.. truly a beautiful game as in the screens was beautiful that is lol. i did have trouble finding what to do in the shop, no way to know to break the vase for the key. An English version of the walk thru would be so helpful. I liked it and will play it again thank you so much
